Stephen Mitchell

Chairman

Mr Mitchell has a Masters Degree in International Economics and Foreign Policy from John Hopkins University in Washington DC. following which he spent 10 years as a natural resources specialist at investment banks and advisory firms in the US and Australia. From 1999-2011 Stephen was Managing Director of Molopo Energy Ltd, an ASX-listed oil and gas company that held assets in Australia, Canada, USA, China, India and South Africa. Under his stewardship, Molopo generated a 10 fold increase shareholder value and expanded its market capitalisation from less than $1 million into an ASX 200 company.

Stephen was a founder and Chairman of Petrel Energy until retiring from the board in October 2014. Stephen is a partner of Mitchell Peterson Capital Partners, a Melbourne based corporate advisory firm. He is a director of several private companies including Lowell Resources Funds Management Pty.Ltd.


Allan Ritchie

Non-Executive Director

Mr Ritchie has served as a director of several private and public listed companies and is a principal of his own firm where he focuses on asset acquisitions and off-take arrangements in the energy, resources and infrastructure space. Allan is an investment banking professional with a career spanning 30 years of origination and structuring. He held senior positions at Westpac, ANZ Bank, HSBC and BNP Paribas in London, New York and Asia Pacific. He engages with the chief executives of major corporations and state owned enterprises spanning the global resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. He was previously voted number one in the BRW Magazine poll of Financial Markets, bankers in Australia. Allan graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Bachelor of Business and has a post graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from FINSIA. Allan is based in Sydney.


Nick Castellano

Executive Director

Mr Castellano is a Hydrocarbon Dynamics (HCD) founder and is the inventor of the HCD Multi-Flow technology. Nick spent a decade in the nuclear power program of the United States Navy, ultimately becoming the leading chief of the reactor laboratory division of the nuclear powered aircraft carrier the Dwight D. Eisenhower, where he assumed responsibilities for chemistries in the reactor plants. After leaving, Nick developed cutting edge chemistry and patented processes in the industrial water and oil industries. In the industrial water industry Nick founded an industrial water treatment company with clients such as Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola and United Dairymen. In the oil industry Nick focused on oil well chemistry, developing and founding the technology of HCD. He completed his MA PHD at Canterbury University. Nick is passionate and committed to providing ongoing input into expanding the application of HCD's technology. Nick is based in Arizona.


Ray Shorrocks

Non-Executive Director

Mr Shorrocks has more than 20 years' experience in corporate finance and has advised a diverse range of mining and resource companies during his career at Patersons Securities Limited, one of Australia's largest full service stockbroking and financial services firms. He has been instrumental in managing and structuring equity capital raisings as well as having advised extensively in the area of mergers and acquisitions.


Andrew Seaton

Non-Executive Director

Mr Seaton is an experienced energy executive with a background in finance, project management and investment banking.  Mr Seaton was a senior executive with Santos Limited for twelve years, the last six of which he served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Santos, Mr. Seaton worked in investment banking with Merrill Lynch in Melbourne and New York, His early career included 10 years as a process engineer and project manager across a range of upstream oil and gas projects and operating plants. Mr Seaton has an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.


Julie Edwards

Company Secretary

Ms Edwards holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Public Practice Certificate. Ms Edwards is the company secretary for a number of listed and unlisted entities.


Garth Sloan

Mr Sloan is a petroleum geologist and industry recognised expert in value creation in unconventional resources, and a proven oil and gas finder with 33 years of highly diversified experience as a geologist, manager, and executive in the petroleum industry.  He holds a Professional Geologist designation in Alberta, Canada. He has extensive experience in identifying, evaluating, acquiring, and developing international unconventional petroleum projects with an emphasis on Canada, USA,  and Australia; and including Argentina, China, Morocco, Romania, Uruguay, Russia, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. Garth previously worked with Total E&P as head Vice President of Unconventional Resources serving in a global capacity creating and directing a new department within Total.  He was responsible for a large multidisciplinary workforce of over 30 professionals, based in Paris but providing support worldwide.


John Zetzman

Mr. Zetzman holds a BS in International Trade and an MBA with honors from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is a member of The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA),  the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the ADAM Energy Forum of Dallas. John has more than thirty-five years of experience in the minerals and energy industries. He has experience in the management of projects in many areas in the USA as well as several international venues. These projects included mineral and mining projects as well as oil and gas projects. His activities included management of multidisciplinary teams, sourcing materials and coordinating contractor services. John was one of the first to identify the shale potential of South Africa and in Canada he identified and acquired a 2.5 million acre frontier shale project for an international oil and gas client and identified and managed an early entry opportunity into the Permian Basin Wolfcamp shale play for an international oil and gas client.
